Welcome back!!! It was wonderful welcoming our new students and Kindergarten students last week for orientation sessions. Teachers and staff have also been busy preparing for the new school year. We are now ready for our first day of school, tomorrow, September 6th. Please note the first day of school is a minimum day with dismissal at 1:05. Recently, an email was sent with important information for the start of the school year. This information can be accessed on our website if you would like to review it.
We’re thrilled to announce our new app. It’s everything Wyckoff, in your pocket. With the new app, you can access documents, events, news updates, and even emergency notifications. To download the WSD app, search “Wyckoff School District” in your app store.
New Jersey school districts will administer the NJ Start Strong assessments once again this fall for all students in Grades 4-8. The Start Strong assessments are based on prior-year academic standards and serve to inform teachers and families of students’ academic needs at the beginning of the school year. These online assessments cover English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science (Grade 6 only), and take approximately 45-60 minutes to administer. Elementary testing in WSD will take place on September 28th and 29th with make-ups on September 30th. Middle school testing begins on September 19th.
