As their final self-portrait at Washington, fifth graders created symbolic self-portraits! We learned about Frida Kahlo and how she created symbols in her background to describe who she was. For our own interpretations, we added visuals that display who we are as well!

As a grade, artists in fourth grade focused on capturing a facial expression in their portraits! We looked at Van Gogh and how he was expressive in all this artwork! We also created backgrounds that accentuate what emotion we portrayed!
KR reenacted our star book The Three Little Pigs! We worked cooperatively to make each house and enjoyed seeing which house withstood the huff and puff of the big bad wolf!
