I hope everyone has a great holiday break! Here’s to a happy and healthy 2023 for the Coolidge School Community! May we see continued prosperity, happiness, growth, and achievement for our students. If you have not had a chance to view our holiday card, here it is.
Thank you to our class parents who visited before the break to lead our students in some winter and holiday-themed activities, games, and crafts.
Our December School Wide Meeting included our annual singalong, filled with songs and games led by Ms. Paton and Mr. Cosman. The students had an awesome time and it was such a nice way to end the week and start the holiday.
After the 5th-grade choral concert that was performed for the entire student body, we had our Coolidge School Musical Reveal. Check out this Tweet and video from Mr. Cosman and see the students “roar” with PRIDE.
I would like to once again wish our speech therapist, Mrs. Geary, the best of fortunes in her retirement. Today was her last day and she will surely be missed.
REMINDERS
I would like to provide a few reminders as we move into the new year…
The school day begins at 8:50. Students arriving after that time are marked late. Arriving at school on time helps promote important lifelong time management skills. Students arriving late may cause a disruption to the start of the day not only for themselves but also for the other students who are already in class.
Regular and consistent attendance is important for students in elementary school as they develop routines and work habits. Whenever possible, please schedule vacations, medical appointments, and other activities for times outside of regular school hours. Letters will be sent home to notify parents of excessive unexcused absences.
If you have not done so already, be sure to review your child’s report card in Genesis (Grades 1-5). After a recent check, it seems there are many families who have not yet accessed their child(ren)’s report cards.
Check out our Coolidge School Homepage where you will find Live Feed and News posts with photos of school happenings. We hope to be posting more to our Live Feed, which links to our Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook pages, in the new year.
