The Holiday Season is here! I hope it is one filled with happiness, joy, and peace for our Coolidge School Community of students, staff, and families.
Congratulations to all of our 4th and 5th-grade students who took part in our Coolidge Soloist Showcase this past week! Thank you for sharing your talents with us and for your willingness to take a risk and try something new. You put a smile on our faces! Thank you also to Mr. Cosman for organizing this experience for the students.
Math Consultant Bill Jackson spent time at Coolidge School last week working with our K-5 teachers. Mr. Jackson provided professional development to staff embedded into our regular daily schedule, as he planned lessons with teachers, provided feedback and coaching, and modeled instruction and assessment. Thank you Mr. Jackson for helping Coolidge staff hone their math instructional skills.
Report cards will be available for parents in grades 1-5 via the Genesis Parent Portal on Friday, 12/16 after 4 PM.
STUDENT COUNCIL WACKY WINTER WEEK
Get ready for Wacky Winter Week, December 19-23, 2022! We hope all students and staff show their Holiday and Coolidge Spirit! Go Cougars! Here is the flier.
Monday is Wacky Day: Come to school dressed in your wackiest outfit!
Tuesday is Spirit Day: Wear your best Coolidge Spirit Wear or blue & yellow.
Wednesday is Pajama Day: Break out your coziest pajamas (you may bring a small stuffed animal that fits in your backpack). Each class will take part in 20 minutes of “cozy” silent reading!
Thursday is Winter Day: If you are hoping for a snow day this year then wear all white or light blue!
Friday is Holi-Day: Wear your favorite Holiday Gear or festive colors: red, blue, green, silver & gold! We will have our December School Wide Meeting and Singapalooza (a.k.a. Singalong) on this day!
ATTENTION 5TH GRADE PARENTS & GUARDIANS
The 5th Grade Chorus will perform The 2022 Winter Concert “All Stars” on Tuesday, December 20th. The concert will begin at 11:00 in the Coolidge Gymnasium. Families are welcome to enter through the front gym doors beginning at 10:45. The concert will be about 40 minutes long with a photo opportunity at the end.
The theme All Stars is a reminder that each of us can shine and when we work together, we shine even brighter. We will be performing songs that celebrate all different traditions and messages.
Concert attire is home for the holidays. This can be anything you would wear for the holidays. This can be dressed up (Boys: slacks, shirt, tie. Ladies: dress) or more casual (Holiday Hats and Ugly Holiday Sweaters). Please no jeans or shorts.
We are so excited to perform together and look forward to seeing you there!
