Dear Coolidge Families,
Thank you for joining us for our Back-to-School Night presentations last week. It was a true privilege to meet so many of you and share our vision for the upcoming year. Stepping into this community has been a wonderfully welcoming experience, and I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know your children, hearing their stories, and connecting with our families during these opening weeks. Partnering with you to support a year filled with learning, curiosity, and growth is an honor, and I look forward to building collaborative relationships with all of you as we embark on this exciting school year together.
A Note of Gratitude
Now that the school year is well underway, I want to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation to the dedicated individuals who keep Coolidge running smoothly every day:
Our Front Office Team & Student Support Services: A huge thank you to Mrs. Gneiding, Mrs. Venema, Ms. Krey, and Mrs. Ward for building such a strong, caring foundation for our community.
Safety Patrol & Officer Rob: Special thanks to Mrs. Zivkovich for organizing this year’s Safety Patrol, to our 5th-grade safety patrollers for helping us start our Fridays on a positive note, and to Officer Rob for keeping our school safe and for bringing the dance party vibes on Fridays!
Intramurals - Grade 5: A Message from Mrs. McCurry
Coolidge School is pleased to announce the first session of the After School Intramural Sports Program for the 2026-2027 school year. The intramural program is an extension of physical education classes, allowing the students to use skills learned in class and extend the skills to a game experience. The focus of the program is cooperative team play and sportsmanship.
Intramural sessions will be held on Tuesday or Thursday from 3:20 p.m. until 4:20 p.m. Intramural pick up is promptly at 4:20 p.m. by the side gymnasium doors.
The first session of intramurals will begin Tuesday, Sept.29-Thursday, Nov.19th. If your child is unable to participate in this session of intramurals, he or she will still have the opportunity to participate in future sessions. A new sign-up will be sent out for each session.
Please complete the Google Form linked below to sign-up by Sunday, Sept. 27th. This is a first come, first serve basis and a maximum of 24 students will be assigned to either Tuesday or Thursday for this session.
You will receive confirmation of the assigned day (Tuesday or Thursday) or if on the waiting list by Monday, Sept.28th via email.

Important School Reminders
Pet Policy on Campus (District Policy 7490): Please remember that dogs and other pet animals are not permitted on school property at any time, including during arrival and dismissal hours. This policy ensures the safety and well-being of all students and visitors. Thank you for your cooperation!
September is NJ School Attendance Month: Regular and prompt attendance is vital to student success and academic growth. Please make every effort to schedule flexible appointments outside of school hours. Additionally, please ensure your student is in their classroom by 8:50 AM to be considered on time. Our school day begins promptly at 8:50 AM with Morning Meetings, which help students acclimate and prepare for the day ahead.
Electronic "Friday Folder"
Our online "Friday Folder" is a centralized repository for important notices, flyers, and letters from Coolidge School and the broader Wyckoff community. You can access these resources each week via the link in our weekly E-Blast or directly on the Coolidge School website. If you ever require hard copies of any document, please contact the main office, and we will gladly print them for you.
