Next week, Coolidge School will celebrate the Week of Respect. Although we strive to foster a respectful school environment all year long, this week serves as a helpful reminder of all that we do to create a strong school community.  In addition to classroom activities, Kindness in Chalk, and a special school-wide project, we will also have spirit days to celebrate the respect and kindness we show all year long as Coolidge Cougars!

Spirit Days:

Monday- We are a respectful school! Wear blue or Coolidge Spirit Wear to support Stomp Out Bullying and to celebrate our Schoolwide Meeting.

Tuesday- At Coolidge, we are a TEAM! Wear your favorite sports team jersey or t-shirt!

Wednesday- Our kindness makes us shine bright! Wear bright or neon colors!

Thursday- We are a peaceful community! Show your peaceful side by wearing some tie-dye!

Friday- We live in a respectful community! Wear your Wyckoff gear, jersey, or anything green!

WALK/BIKE TO SCHOOL DAY- WEDNESDAY 10/4

Thank you to the Coolidge PTO Green Team for hosting this event. Here is some more information from the Green Team:

Get some fresh air and leave your car behind! Walk or bike to school to get some exercise and reduce traffic and air pollution! Students will be happily greeted by the Cougar and some music upon their arrival on this fun kick-off to the school day!   Fun Idea: Reach out to your friends and neighbors to create a “Walking School Bus” from your neighborhood. Don’t forget about friends that live too far to walk, invite them to be dropped off at your house so they can walk too. Thank you for joining the fun and for being mindful of reducing traffic and air pollution.

PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES

Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place on November 6th from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and November 13th from 2:00-7:00 PM. There will be no school for students on 11/6 and a minimum day on 11/13. I am letting you know for planning purposes right now, but sign-ups and more information will be provided by your child’s teacher in a few weeks.
