Congratulations to everyone for an amazing first two days. Our terrific teachers helped our students get off to a great start to the school year! Students quickly acclimated back to the norms and routines of school. I am so proud of them and look forward to an awesome year ahead of academic excellence, community-building, and personalized learning. Thank you to our parents for your continued support to help make this happen!
Monday is September 11th. As a nation, we recognize Patriot Day and a National Day of Service and Remembrance. In an age-appropriate manner, teachers will lead discussions or read with their students about this day, focusing on the importance of service and patriotism. A huge thank you to the Coolidge PTO for purchasing mini USA flags for each student which will be placed around our Peace Pole in front of the school.
Congratulations to Coolidge School for winning 1st place at the WEF Color Run for greatest school participation. For this recognition, we will receive an additional $500 for physical education equipment! It was wonderful seeing so many of our students out at the Color Run on Saturday!
On Tuesday we will have our first school-wide meeting of the year where we will welcome new students/staff, reconnect with each other, review school rules, and, of course, sing Happy Birthday and our Cougar Pride song. All students and staff are encouraged to wear Coolidge Spirit Wear or blue and yellow to school on Tuesday.
All parents and visitors are required to bring their driver’s license when visiting or volunteering at school. The fobs currently do not work on our visitor management system, so a driver’s license is required.
Back to School Night is scheduled for next Tuesday, September 19th, starting at 6:30 PM. More information and exact times for the evening’s schedule will be shared shortly.
